Applied Quantum Computing presented at the National Quantum Computing Centre Quantum Applications Showcase held at the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire on 5 June. Over 80 people from NQCC SparQ project teams, government stakeholders and industrial partners came together to hear about many of the use case oriented PoCs and Feasibility studies that have been funded by STFC, Innovate UK and NQCC over the last 2 years. Two projects lead by Applied Quantum Computing were featured in the presentations: Developing valuable operational healthcare applications using quantum computing techniques and Investigating the application of Quantum Machine Learning to improve the early detection of cancer. Further details of the projects and their findings can be found in the NQCC Quantum Computing Use Case Compendium, which can be accessed here.
